Working with you to reach your goals.
Meet Diane
I am a licensed professional counselor and a licensed school counselor (K-12) in Virginia. I’ve worked with children, teens, young adults, and their families for over 15 years in both the school setting and private practice setting. Prior to establishing my own private practice, I worked at a well known group practice in Northern Virginia running small groups and offering individual counseling services. Before that, I spent 13 years working as a school counselor in Fairfax County Public Schools. My practice offers strong support to parents of children and teens as I find that input and participation from family members is greatly beneficial to the counseling process.
I also welcome the opportunity to collaborate with other stakeholders including school personnel, physicians, and other treatment providers on behalf of my clients, as the coordination of care results in the best possible treatment outcomes.
I utilize a variety of modalities in order to provide the best care to each client. These include CBT, DBT, and solutions focused therapy. I am also a trauma-informed clinician and have received training in play therapy techniques.
I’m a lifelong DC metro area resident and a graduate of Marymount University in Arlington, VA with a BBA in International Business and a MA in School Counseling. I am a fluent Arabic speaker and enjoy learning new languages, trying new foods, and exploring new places.
