Therapy for Teens
Being a teen is hard! The teenage brain is unique in that it is going through a re-wiring of sorts from childhood to adulthood. Living through this transition can be tough. Whether you are dealing with friendship/relationship issues, managing stress and anxiety, or self-confidence issues, I’m here to help! We can work together to learn coping strategies to help get you back on track.
Therapy for Young Adults
Transitioning to the challenges of adulthood can be difficult. Relationships can be complicated and daily life can be stressful. In our therapy sessions, we’ll work to tackle current problems and look at your thinking and behavior around challenging situations within and around you. I will help you reframe your thinking and provide you with tools to cope with difficult moments. I am here to support you so that you can experience the growth and change you’ve been looking for.

50 minute individual therapy sessions- $190
I am an out of network provider, meaning that you will be responsible for payment at the time of the session. I am happy to provide a superbill each month that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
How do I actually use my out-of-network benefits?
Most insurance companies have you upload your monthly superbill online and then they will mail you a check with your reimbursement. Generally, your insurance company may reimburse you for 60-80% of each session. However, I recommend calling the number on the back of your health insurance card listed under Member Services to learn more about your specific coverage.
You can ask them the following questions:
Do I have out-of-network outpatient mental health coverage? Am I able to use these benefits for telehealth?
What is my out-of-network deductible?
How much of my deductible has been met this year?
Do I need a referral from an in-network provider to see someone out-of-network?
What percentage of outpatient psychotherapy sessions are covered per session?
How much will I be reimbursed for a 50 minute psychotherapy session (CPT code: 90834)?
How do I submit claim forms for reimbursement?
How long does it take for me to receive reimbursement?
What if I’m not sure we’re a good fit?
Before scheduling a therapy session, I do a free 15 minute intro call with all potential new clients. This gives us the chance to get to know each other. Here’s what you can expect:
I’ll ask you about why you’re seeking therapy
I’ll tell you a bit about myself and my approach as a therapist
You can ask me any questions that I didn’t cover
We’ll talk about rates, insurance, availability, etc.
So we’re a good fit. What’s next?
If we both decide we're a good fit after our intro call, we'll schedule our first therapy appointment. I'll send you some forms to complete before our first session. If we are meeting virtually, I'll also send you a link for our video calls that you can use every week.
What’s the first therapy session like?
During our first session or two, I'll ask you a bunch of questions to get a better picture of your life journey. Together, we will come up with goals together of what you hope to accomplish in therapy.
In therapy you'll have an opportunity to process, gain new insights, learn to challenge your thoughts, receive feedback, and develop and practice new coping skills. Therapy is hard work and can sometimes lead to unwanted thoughts and feelings. Other days, it can be rewarding and fun. Either way, I am here to support you and will help you achieve the change and growth you are looking for.
How often will we meet?
I meet with the majority of my clients on a weekly basis. I ask that all new clients commit to meeting weekly, for at least the first 6 weeks. This will allow us to start off on a strong foot, so you can start seeing progress right away. I may recommend that we increase or decrease the frequency of sessions to best meet your needs.
How long will I need to be in therapy?
Therapy does not have to last forever. Some people may find that they’ve met their goals in 3-6 months and no longer need regular therapy. They may opt to check in from time to time as needed. Others may choose to remain in therapy for a longer term duration; though they have made improvement, they may enjoy having ongoing support and a set time/place to process their thoughts and feelings.
